Lauren led WMLS as President through our 40th Anniversary Gala and is a 2014 graduate of Claflin University, with a Bachelor’s degree in English and Literature. She then graduated from the Northeastern University School of Law in 2017 where she was active in the Black Law Student’s Association, was a Lawyering Fellow, and a Frederick Douglas Moot Court Competitor. Since graduating, she served a year as a Judicial Law Clerk for Rhode Island Supreme Court before coming to Maryland to serve as an Assistant Public Defender since 2018, first in Baltimore, then in Howard County.
